About Cavalier Inc.
Reinvented in 2006, Cavalier Inc. is the fastest growing specialty chemical and facility maintenance company in Virginia's Tidewater area. Cavalier's history, however, goes back quite a bit further than 2006. The company's history is a tale of two companies: Cavalier Marine Supply Company and Allied Enterprises Inc. These were two entities that serviced the Federal Government, Virginia State Government and the Tidewater area for over 100 years combined.
Cavalier Marine Supply Co. was a ship chandler who serviced US and foreign vessels from 1941 until 2006. Founded by Jeffery B. Littman, Cavalier Marine Co. provided provisions, deck stores, engine stores and bonded goods to any vessel pulling into any one of many Tidewater ports.
Allied Enterprises, Inc. was a chemical and facility maintenance company who primarily serviced the Federal and Virginia State Government from 1968 to 2004. Started by Paul Barkan, Allied Enterprises provided their Government approved chemical and maintenance products to all Tidewater military bases and school systems.
In 2004, Cavalier Marine Supply Co. assumed Allied Enterprises Inc. with hopes that the consistent chemical company would stabilize the ever-changing ship chandlery business. After two years, Jeffery Littman agreed to sell the company to a few men whom he felt could successfully carry on the Cavalier name.
Today, Cavalier Inc. is Scott Kershner, Jason Jones, Bruce Heller and their hard working staff. Bruce, Jason and Scott have a combined 40 years experience in the chemical, maintenance and supply business. As the youngest and most energetic company in the industry, Cavalier Inc. has a mission to utilize its experience, products and service to help make a safer and cleaner world.
